This is a fun one! As a couples therapist, I often suggest going for a walk, a picnic, a date night at home. Cook for one another, engage in good conversation and try and put technology away. Grab ice cream, go to trivia night or do a wine and game night at home. It’s less about what you do & More about the company you bring.

My go-to cheap and fun dates:
- Pack a basket or backpack with your favorite snacks and have a picnic (if the weather is bad, it's super cute to have a picnic on your living room floor)
- Go to an art gallery opening! They're usually free AND have free wine and cheese, yum
- Go to the library and choose a book for one another, then go to a cafe and read quietly together OR take turns reading aloud to one another, so cute
- Go for a good old-fashioned hike! You could even turn it into a scavenger hunt if you want to get creative
- Pretend to be tourists in your town :) helps you look at everyday places and things with new eyes, super cute and fun
- Just grab a cup of coffee! A classic and only costs a couple dollars. Can pair with a charming walk too
- Stargaze together! Find constellations, or make up your own teehee
- Window shop at the flea market or antique store! So many pretty and cool things to look at
- Wander around IKEA together

For my husband's and my first date we were both broke college students so he suggested geocaching. It's like a scavenger hunt using GPS, and people do it all over the world--just go to their website and you can get set up. Totally free and a fun way to explore your local area

Depending on how cheap "cheap" is, you could do a sweet treat crawl around town, visit all your favorite local bakeries and cafes and ice cream shops. It's a great opportunity to share dessert, which is always cute. You could even turn it into a taste-testing activity and rank all the treats you try.

Love the idea of acting like tourists in your town. My friend and I did this once, we stopped in a hotel nearby and grabbed some local maps of food and shops and sights in the area and took ourselves on a fun little journey of our city. Super cool, cute, and thrifty!
