Set up Microsoft Edge to stream Xbox Game Pass games

Steam Deck gives you access to all of Steam's library in a hand-held format. However, what if you want to play Xbox Game Pass games? While Steam Deck doesn't support Game Pass directly, you can install Microsoft Edge and modify it to launch Xbox Cloud Gaming, which will allow you to stream most Xbox Game Pass games within the web browser. This wikiHow article teaches you how to play Xbox Game Pass games on Steam Deck.

Game Pass on Steam Deck

Xbox Game Pass is not directly supported by Steam Deck. However, you can install Microsoft Edge in Desktop mode and modify it to launch Xbox Cloud Gaming. This will allow you to stream most Xbox Game Pass games within the web browser.

  1. To do so, press the Steam button to bring up the Steam menu. Then select Power followed by Desktop .

  1. Click here to download the Xbox icon, capsule, and banner. This will download the files in a zip file. You may need to download them to a computer. Unzip the zipe file to retrieve the image files.
  2. You can transfer the files to your Steam Deck using a USB thumb drive. You can store them in the Documents folder.
  3. If you are not already in Desktop Mode, press the Steam button and select Power . Then select Desktop .
