If you're hunting shiny Pokémon, you are likely wanting to get the Shiny Charm in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Shiny Charm increases your chance of finding a shiny from 1 in 4096 to 1 in 1365.67, which is a huge boost. [1] Getting the Shiny Charm is no small task, as you must complete your Paldea Pokédex to do so—but keep reading this article for some tips and tricks for catching them all to get your Shiny Charm.

Things You Should Know

  • To get the Shiny Charm in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, catch all 400 Pokémon in Paldea.
  • You'll have to trade with someone who has the opposite game version as you. If you own both versions, however, you can trade with yourself via Pokémon HOME.
  • You can also transfer Pokémon from HOME into Scarlet/Violet to immediately satisfy their catching requirement.

    Jacq will give you the Shiny Charm once you've registered 400 Pokémon in your Pokédex. However, if you haven't spoken to him to get your previous Pokédex completion rewards, you'll have to claim those before you can get the Shiny Charm.
