    Mercury retrogrades happen approximately every three to three and a half months. So, they're very common. Mercury rules communication and travel. Often, travel communications go into a major SNAFU (situation normal, all fouled up) during a Mercury retrograde. So, it's not a good time to try and do new things, communicate with things, try to meet new people, have a first date, or launch a new venture. All of these things are not things to do during the Mercury Retrograde.
