  • Question
How do I knit a circle on circular needles?
    LibraryMouse
    Community Answer
After you cast on your stitches, cast on one extra. Then lay your circular needle on a flat surface and turn the stitches so they are all facing the same direction-no twists. Now spread out the stitches so they cover the whole needle. Slip one stitch from the right-hand needle to the left-hand needle, then knit them together. Put a stitch marker on the right-hand needle, and continue knitting.
  • Question
How do I cast on two stitches when I cast off on the row before it (i.e. buttonholes)?
    Community Answer
Usually, the double loop cast on is used to make new stitches after a buttonhole. To do this, flip your work to the wrong side once you are working directly over the buttonhole. Wrap the yarn around as you usually would to knit, but don't drop the old stitch. Instead, twist the new stitch once so that the back becomes the front, and then place it on the left needle next to the old stitch. Staying on the wrong side, repeat this creation of a new stitches as many times as necessary. (In your case, this would mean one more time.) Flip your work back to the right side and continue knitting as you usually would.
