After following the instructions to clean the bottle, shake out as much water as possible. Use 90% isopropyl alcohol to rinse the inside of the bottle. The alcohol will remove any water as well as disinfect the interior as it evaporates.

You can reuse the small bottles safely after cleaning. Just make sure to wash them really well, and maybe refill them with the same product: e.g. put mouthwash in small mouthwash bottles, shampoo in small shampoo bottles and so on. Even if you wash them, this will reduce the risk of mixing products.
  • Question
How do I clean my bottle at school if I don't have anything to clean it with?
    Community Answer
Ideally, you should wait until you're home to wash your water bottle thoroughly. If you really need to wash your water bottle, put water in it, screw the cap on, and shake vigorously. Additionally, you could ask a teacher if they can wash your bottle for you.

One of the simplest ways is to use soap and water. Add a few drops of dish soap and water to your bottle then put the cap back on. Any hand dish liquid is fine to use for washing a plastic bottle. After you add some dish soap, fill your bottle halfway with warm water. Then, close the lid and shake the bottle around for at least a minute. Then, open up the bottle and dump out the soapy water. Use a bottle brush to reach deep inside the bottle and scrub it well. Rinse the remaining soap out of the bottle and let it dry. You should be good to go!

How do you clean a plastic water bottle without a brush?

You can sanitize a plastic water bottle with vinegar if you don't have a brush. Start by filling your bottle about 1/5 of the way full with white vinegar, which you can find at any grocery store. Then, fill the rest of the bottle up with warm water. Allow the vinegar and water mixture to sit overnight in your bottle so it can fully sanitize and clean it. In the morning, rinse your bottle thoroughly with hot water and wipe it dry with a clean towel. That's all there is to it!
  • Question
How do you make plastic bottles clear again?

You can use baking soda to help remove the stains and restore your plastic bottles. It's really simple, too. Fill the bottle with water and mix in one teaspoon of baking soda. Let the bottle sit overnight to allow the baking soda to work its magic. The next day (or 8 hours later), rinse the bottle out thoroughly with hot water. Then, wipe it down with a clean towel. You could also use one teaspoon of bleach instead of baking soda, which will both sanitize and clean the bottle. Just make sure you rinse it out really well before you use it.
