  • Question
I'm dumb and I get bad grades, can I still get rich?
    Community Answer
You may be dumb in one field but you can be great in another. A fish always feels dumber watching a monkey climb a tree so easily and knowing that it could not climb. Find a field where you can be good. Everybody is good at something. Bad grades do not necessarily mean that you cannot get rich. Getting rich requires financial and economic knowledge, it doesn't necessarily matter how or what you have studied.

  • Question
I want to be a software engineer. Is there any chance to become amazingly rich in this?
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
A rule of thumb is that no matter which job you do, you will never get rich. Most jobs allow you to earn more than you spend, so you're at least advancing, but it often requires giving up on certain dreams. If you want to go on a vacation five times a year or buy a Ferrari, it's not likely that will happen on a normal employee's salary. Entrepreneurs make the most money. Start your own business in software engineering and learn how to manage that business. Grow it, employ people, grow a customer base, increase the scale, reduce overhead, etc. If you can invent a product once and sell it forever, that's how it's done.
