Normally it's just a very quick thing (article suggests "30 seconds"), but it is up to you. The longer you do it, the more people you are likely to upset and the higher your risk of getting in trouble.

If you have a 6-foot fence or hedgerow that people can't easily see through, that isn't a problem. In the USA, many forests are public lands and are under the management of State Game Wardens; in some States, these Wardens are State Police who can charge for crimes. Unless you are in a country that allows public nudity, it is risky to streak even if in a forest. Besides, forests have too many bugs that bite... and too many animals that might be offended.
