  • Question
Can I hook up a Wii and a TiVO at the same time? I don't have enough red yellow and white ports.
    Community Answer
You can't hook them both up at the same time unless you buy a separate adapter. Try going to an electronics store, and asking the employees what they have.
  • Question
My remote is not working. How can I fix this?
    Community Answer
First, check your batteries. Then, check that the sensor bar is in a good location & connected to the Wii. The sensitivity could be set too high -- the closer you get to the sensor, the easier the target. TIP: When you're re-setting your sensor bar, be in position and as comfortable as you would want to be playing a game or browsing the system. Another possibility is that, because of the 1 + players options, you may need to add the remote to the system. Hold down the sync button on the back, just below the batteries, until the light blinks. 6: Triple check your batteries. As the battery weakens it will affect the functioning yet still seem to work some times.
  • Question
    Why doesn't my Wiimote work?
    Community Answer
Perhaps the batteries are dead? Or the springs where the batteries go are broken? Maybe the light at the top of the Wiimote is broken or your sensor is either turned the wrong way or broken as well. As you can see, there are a few possibilities.

The red, green and blue wires are not "German." They are called "component" cables, and will allow you to get better pictures.

  • Question
How do I get power to the Wii?

  • Question
Will another TV input block my Wii input?
    Charles Winkler
    Community Answer
If you're using an HDMI multi-input selector/switcher, then only if you switch inputs or power on an input source that has an automatic input switcher. If you're asking if another input will block the Wii input size-wise, then it depends on the size of the other input.
  • Question
What do we do if we have the RCA converter for the HDMI cord and it shows a picture of the remote stating to click "A" to start?
    Charles Winkler
    Community Answer
The input setup does not have to do with this issue. What you need to do is pair the Wii remote to the console. Find the WikiHow article on how to do that. After you have done that, press A on the controller. If this does not work, make sure there are batteries in the Wii remote and try again. If that doesn't work, call Nintendo during their open hours. Make sure the calibration is set. You can do this by going into the Wii settings in the Wii menu. Also, make sure the Wii remote is synced with the console, and that the sensor bar is completely plugged into the console as well. If that doesn't work, call Nintendo during their open hours.
