  • Question
Where can I get the ISO file? That was kinda the only reason I came here.
    Community Answer
If you google "download windows 8 iso," the first hit brings you to the right Microsoft page. I expect the same works for other versions of the Win OS.
  • Question
What ISO do I use when installing Windows 8 in VirtualBox?
    Community Answer
You would use a Windows 8/Windows 8.1 ISO file to install Windows 8/Windows 8.1 in VirtualBox.
  • Question
How often and for what reasons should Windows be updated within a VirtualBox?
    Community Answer
The virtual machine does not normally update without you forcing it to. Since it is not an actual computer, it will not receive forced updates from Microsoft like your regular computer will.
  • Question
    How do I install Windows 8 32-bit?
    Mr. Paul Maddens
    Community Answer
The same way you would with 64-bit, just use a 32-bit ISO or DVD instead of a 64-bit version.
  • Question
Why did I get a error saying "Your PC needs to restart. Please hold down the power button. Error code 0X0000000A"?
    Community Answer
Make sure you gave the virtual machine enough RAM. If it still fails, reinstall Windows in the VM. If that does not work, make sure your computer is capable of running Windows 8. Here's the requirements: 1 GB RAM (32-bit) Or 2 GB RAM (64-bit), 1 GHz or faster PAE-capable processor. If it meets those requirements, reinstall VirtualBox or use VMware.
