  • Question
Could I use the tip of a mascara wand? Or could I use a heated black pencil?
    Community Answer
I wouldn't recommend using a mascara brush as the little arms will prove too much of a risk to mess up. Do not use a heated black pencil that is not made specifically for the eyes.
  • Question
How do I take off the almond soot eyeliner?
    Community Answer
Use a light oil like coconut oil or aloe vera gel. Even a makeup wipe will work. Don't use liquid makeup remover, it may irritate the eye.
  • Question
Can I store the eyeliner anywhere? Should I put it in the refrigerator?
    Community Answer
Yes, it is recommended to keep any natural makeup in the refrigerator as it will prevent the growth of bacteria.
  • Question
Can I store the almond eyeliner in a small glass bottle?
    Community Answer
Yes. You can store it there; just make sure you put it in the fridge afterwards.
  • Question
Are there other methods for creating eyeliner? On YouTube, I saw a video where someone made eyeliner out of colored pencils.
    Community Answer
You can use eyeshadow -- just wet a thin eyeliner brush and dip the wet brush in the eyeshadow to make gel-type eyeliner. Making eyeliner from colored pencils isn't recommended because of the risk of getting an infection.
  • Question
Is it safe to wear the almond eyeliner inside my eye?
    Anna Sekeres
    Community Answer
Yes, just don't get it in your eye, make sure it stays on the water line.
  • Question
For the almond solution, can I use a match instead of a lighter?
    Community Answer
You can use a match, but you need to hold the almond over the flame for some time, so it's easiest to use a lighter. With a lighter, you can easily keep the flame going as long as you want. You would actually have to use multiple matches for this project.
  • Question
Is it good to put on eyeliner?
    Community Answer
It's up to you. Wear the makeup you like.
  • Question
Can I heat the almond over a stove?
    Community Answer
If you're sure you won't end up burning your hand, why not? Although, it's just better to use a lighter.
  • Question
How would I make a brown eyeliner?
    Community Answer
If you have brown mascara, you can just take an angled eyeliner brush and use that.
  • Question

    Skgflys
    Community Answer

  • Question
Can I use almond eyeliner as mascara with my mascara brush?
    Cecilia Flores
    Top Answerer
Nope. If you used plain almond soot, it wouldn't dry, give enough pigment, coat your lashes like a liquid, or stick to your lashes. Also, if you mix the soot with oils, it would take forever to dry (if it dries at all), it will smudge, and it dries transparent (again, if it dries at all). Plus, you risk getting soot in your eye.
  • Question
I do not have an eyeliner brush. What can I do?
    Community Answer
You can try using a very thin paint brush (from a craft store).
  • Question
Can I mix a large amount and it won't harden?
    Cecilia Flores
    Top Answerer
If you store it in a small airtight container and you don't keep it for too long, it should be fine.
  • Question
Is it a must to keep the eyeliner in refrigerated?
    Community Answer
It needs to be kept cold, yes. You might want to take it out a bit before using, however.
  • Question
How long does it last when put in the fridge?
    Community Answer
Your natural makeup will last for around 3-6 months in the refrigerator on average.
  • Question
Could I use a candle to burn the almond?
    Community Answer
    Yes, you can.
  • Question
Can I use olive oil for the almond mascara?
    Community Answer
Any edible oil will work as long as you don't add too little or too much.
