Yes, you can. As with a normal painting process, you can spray, brush, or roll paint onto stucco. The best choice will just depend on how large the area is. Just make sure to mask everything while painting, from window sills to eaves, especially if you're spraying.

Can I put stucco paint on a wood surface that has gone chalky and flaky?

Fix the wood by grinding down some of it, screw in some wire mesh and then put fix-all (also called quick-fix), which is an exterior/interior patch. Then paint it. You can also use acrylic fillers, but they tend to take a long time to harden.

Yes. It is important to let the stucco cure at least 30 days because the Basic PH will burn paints. Then, use an exterior primer especially made for stucco. Then, use an exterior paint. If you miss any of these steps, the paint will peel off later. You can also bypass the primer step by buying exterior paint with primer in it.

I would suggest satin paint if you dislike dirt getting stuck to the walls of the stucco, but if you don't mind, I would then suggest flat, because, to most people, it is aesthetically more appealing. However, I have heard that acrylic paint is better than flat or satin.
