    That depends on the tile and the type of grout you're using. If you're tiling glossy porcelain or ceramic tile, it's easier to clean off grout, even after it dries. However, if you're working with a porous or rough tile, it's almost impossible to clean if the grout dries at all. Unsanded grout is the most forgiving to work with, followed by sanded grout, while grouts that have sealer or other special additives tend to have the shortest working times.
