I keep my organic, unrefined and cold pressed coconut oil on the pantry shelf. I buy a 52 oz jar and it will last a month or two with no problems! I go through it pretty quickly, one of my favorite must-haves!
  • Question
I want to make cold pressed virgin coconut oil for sale. Im afraid it'll melt and my customers might be unhappy. So do I advise them to store in fridge or just tell them its okay for it to melt?
    Community Answer
Coconut oil softens in the summer, even in an air-conditioned house...but it won't turn completely liquid. The fridge will keep it very hard, almost difficult to dig out of the container! When the oil melts completely, then re-hardens, it becomes very hard. If the oil softens or melts, it won't affect the quality at all.
