  • Question
I’m nervous. What can I do to overcome this fear of losing?
    Brooke
    Community Answer
Remember that winning and losing is a part of life. No one can always win, neither can they always lose! Just have faith in yourself. You've tried your best, and you can do it. Remember that whatever happens, you're talented and amazing. Never forget that, and try harder '''if''' you ever lose. Work harder, and you'll rock!
  • Question
What if I am too scared to make eye contact with the judges and the audience?
    Brooke
    Community Answer
Making eye-contact will draw in the judges and the audience. Being nervous is totally okay, but there's no harm in making eye contact with them! If you truly can't, just look at a point behind the judges and the audience. It makes it look like you are looking at the whole audience in general.
  • Question
Should you always use different face expressions?
    Brooke
    Community Answer
Facial expressions are necessary to draw people in. It's like giving an insight into a part of you, or the character you're portraying. If you're doing hip hop, for example, you can try adding a bit of sass.
  • Question
How can my dancing be tight and not look loose or floppy?
    Brooke
    Community Answer
Practice in front of the mirror every day. Work on posture, and also get a teacher or guide to help you through it. It may take a bit of time to develop a habit, but it's so worth it.
