Before you can delete your phone number from Discord, you'll need to make sure you have an email address added and verified. This can be done for your main account or an account that was made with your number accidentally. Here's how to remove your phone number from Discord using your computer, iPhone, iPad, or Android.

- Log into your Discord account.
- Click the cog icon.
- Click Remove next to "Phone Number".
- Click Remove Phone Number .
- Enter your password.
- Click Done .

- Use this method to remove a phone number from a Discord account you have access to.
- Sometimes, a Discord account can be created accidentally using your phone number. If this is the case, see the Accidental Account section to gain access to that account.

Click the cog icon. This is in the bottom-left corner, next to your username.Advertisement

Click Remove next to "Phone Number". If you don't see this option, make sure you have an email linked to your Discord account. You won't be able to remove the phone number otherwise.

Click Remove Phone Number . This is at the bottom of the pop-up menu.

Enter your password and click Done . Once you've verified your password, the phone number will be removed from your account.

Open the Discord app. Make sure you're logged into the account that is registered with the phone number you want to remove.
- If you don't have access to that account, see the next section to recover it.

Tap your profile picture. This is at the bottom-right corner.

Tap the cog icon in the top-right corner. Your Settings will open.

Tap Account . This is under the Account Settings header.

Tap Phone . You can find this underneath Email .
- Make sure you have an email linked to your Discord account. You won't be able to remove your phone number otherwise.

Tap Remove Phone Number . This is in red font below the number field.

Enter your password and tap Done . Once you've verified your password, the phone number will be removed from your account.

Open the Discord sign-in page. For ease of access, go to https://discord.com/login using an incognito browser.
- You can also use the desktop or mobile app; just be sure to sign out of any accounts first.

Enter your phone number in the field. Make sure it's correct.

Click Forgot your password? . This is below the password field.
- A code will be sent to the phone number.

Enter the confirmation code. This will be a 6-digit number sent by SMS. If you didn't receive the code, select Resend Code to try again.

Enter a new password and select Change Password . You can select any password. If you're planning to delete this accidental account, the password won't matter much.

Log into the accidental account. Use your phone number and new password.

Click the cog icon. This opens the settings.

Click Add next to "Email". Before you can delete the phone number, you'll need to make sure the account has another method of login.

Enter an email address and verify it. You can use any backup email; just make sure it's not currently associated with a Discord account.
- Once you've added the email to Discord, check for a verification email. Click Verify Email within the email. Return to Discord.

Click Remove next to "Phone Number". Now that you've added an email, you'll now see this option.

Click Remove Phone Number . This is at the bottom of the pop-up menu.

Enter your password and click Done . Once you've verified your password, the phone number will be removed from your account.

Delete the accidental account (optional). If you no longer want the accidental account now that the phone number is removed, you can delete it by doing the following:
- Click the cog icon.
- Click Delete Account .
- Enter your password.
- Click Delete Account to confirm.
