Want to change the name of your AirPods? If you received them secondhand, or if you don't like the default name, you can easily change it. You'll just need to connect the AirPods to your Apple device to get started. Here's how to rename your AirPods and what to do if you can't change it with tips from Apple Support Specialist Josef Storzi.

- Connect your AirPods to an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- Open Settings or System Settings .
- Tap your AirPods.
- Tap More Info (i) .
- Tap the current name.
- Enter a new name and tap Done .

On your device, open the Settings app. This is the grey cog icon.
- If you're using a Mac, click the Apple menu and select System Settings .

- If you don't see your AirPods, tap Bluetooth .
