You'll just need to add your EBT card and select "Pay with SNAP" at checkout. Read on to learn how to use EBT on DoorDash for convenient grocery delivery.
Things You Should Know
- You can use EBT on DoorDash to shop at Safeway, Albertsons, Aldi, 7-11, and many other stores in most US states.
- Your EBT card can cover the costs of any SNAP-eligible items, including groceries, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- EBT cannot pay for fees, tips, or non-food items, so you'll need a second payment method on file.
Steps
-
Open your DoorDash profile. Now that DoorDash accepts EBT at many grocery stores, it's easy to pay for grocery delivery with your SNAP benefits! You'll just need to add your EBT card to your payment profile first. Tap the outline of a person at the top-right corner of the DoorDash app to open your profile.
-
Tap Payment . This opens the Payment menu, where you can add your EBT card and other payment methods.
- While you can use EBT to pay for grocery items on DoorDash, it won't cover fees, tips , restaurant orders, or non-food items. If you haven't already added another payment method, you'll be prompted to do so during checkout to cover these costs.

Select Pay with SNAP at checkout. After reviewing your DoorDash cart, you'll see this option on the checkout page. This will display your SNAP balance and show you the total amount of all EBT-eligible items in your cart.

- If you don't see this option, EBT is not accepted at this location.
-
Enter the amount you want to pay and tap Continue . You can enter the entire SNAP-eligible subtotal if you have enough benefits on your EBT card. You can also pay for just a portion of your groceries with EBT and save the rest for your credit or debit card.
- Remember, you'll need another payment method added to DoorDash to cover fees and non-eligible items.
-
Tap Place Order to confirm. If you don't have another payment method added, you'll be prompted to add one first. Any items and fees not covered by EBT will automatically be billed to your alternative payment method.
