Talking to a girl on the phone is a fun, casual way to get to know her. But when the conversation pauses, it can be tough to think of something new to talk about on the spot. In this article, we’ve listed out lots of different conversation topics that you can keep in your back pocket for your next phone call with a girl.

What to Talk About with a Girl

  • Ask her about her pets. If she doesn't have any, ask her what kinds of animals she likes, or would want as pets.
  • Ask about her favorite books, movies, TV shows, or video games, and see if you have any in common.

Certainly don't text all the time. That's a no-no, first five dates, people should do bare minimum texting, but even phone chatting. Make that phone call after you've met her once, you liked her, call her, and ask her out for dinner. I'm assuming it's reciprocal, and you go out for a second date. Then you could text three days later and just say, “Hey, woke up thinking about you. I hope you're having a great day. Let's touch base over the weekend.” It should not be this constant worry of communicating over the phone.
