am i demisexual

Normally i don't feel that someone really attracts me.i felt sexual attraction once for my close friend. But we i think about someone else in my mind i don't feel the same thing i felt for him.
I just want to move on because my best friend doesn't feel the same for me... it's really hard for me to be in a relationship with someone else...i don't know how can i handle myself and i feel different from others and i don't like dating with any random person....am i demisexual?

If you find that you typically only feel sexually attracted to someone you know well, it's possible you're demisexual. Some studies suggest demisexuality is rare, but keep in mind that a lot of people don't know what their sexuality is, or they might not know what it means to be demisexual, so these stats might not be accurate. All that is to say, demisexuality might be more common than you realize. And even if it's not, it's still OK. Your sexual orientation is your business, and there's no wrong way to feel. You may even find your sexuality changes over time, which is also very common.

It can be tough to have feelings for someone who doesn't return them, and if you're still hung up on your friend, that could make it hard to develop feelings for anyone else for a while. If you've only recently realized your feelings are unrequited, you may still be feeling some grief. We encourage you to feel your feelings, acknowledge that it hurts to not have your friend feel the same way, and be patient with yourself as you navigate your way forward. Healing may take some time but it will happen.

My understanding of being demisexual is that you cant be attracted physically to someone else, in a sexual way, without first experiencing some sort of intellectual chemistry.

This is also my understanding. I am 100 percent my sexuality. I’d even go further and say intellectual, and spiritual connection also there’s something more than just the intellect. It’s rare for me to have this connection, but when it happens I’m all in. That’s just my personal experience

Definitely! I think there's a difference between emotional connection and intellectual chemistry. I would definitely be down to get sexual with someone I have an intellectual chemistry with but don't really share an emotional connect with them. I still thought I was demisexual because having that intellectual chemistry is so rare for me. This quiz told me I am not a demisexual.

Wellllll.... I'm moving on and it's not that difficult i thought... it's okay if someone doesn't like us.. we would also do the same if we don't like someone.... it's okay, even it's better that i found myself , my true feelings and the attachment style i have 🙂... Now i know how to find and fall in love with another one 😂 .... World is so huge there are billion people in this world... I'll find the right one...and if it won't happen again, still no regret ... because it's better be alone than being with the wrong one 🙃

There are billions of people in the world, yes. Then why, in 66 years, have I found only one true love? And that one died suddenly in a car crash two weeks before our wedding. That was almost 50 years ago. Nothing will ever come close.
