  1. You can use any color of food coloring that you'd like.
    • If you don't want to use food coloring, you can use vanilla extract for a cream color, a small sprinkling of liquid made with cocoa powder for brown/chocolate brown or a little fruit juice for a red, orange, yellow, etc., depending on which juice you've used. Note that these will also flavor the candy clay. If you wish, you can add flavoring extract for flavor.

  • Question
Do I have to use powdered sugar?
    Community Answer
Yes. Other sugars are too grainy, and will affect the consistency of the clay.
  • Question
Will it still work if I use granulated sugar?
    Community Answer
No. Granulated sugar will prevent the candy clay from being the correct consistency.
