Don't go too heavy on foundation since it can look cakey. Only apply it where you need to and blend it into your skin.

  • Question
I am a 13 year old girl. What kind of makeup should I wear, especially on my eyes?
    Community Answer
Since you're probably just a beginner, this is a great article to follow! Natural makeup is the best choice for beginners because you can feel comfortable wearing it out rather than a more bold look. Start with one or two shades of eyeshadow, which should be blended. These should be lighter colors, preferably not too sparkly as it can get messy if it's too glittery. Cream is a color that will look good on everyone, and so is light brown. Use a light brown eyeliner that is applied very close to your lash line, and don't attempt anything like a cat eye just yet. Then try lip gloss or a natural pink, coral, or very light orange lipstick or tinted lip balm.
  • Question
How do you keep makeup on while playing sports?
    Community Answer
Use a primer and a setting spray or powder, or perhaps both. Pick waterproof mascara and eyeliner and avoid wearing heavy makeup that day. Bring your makeup with you for touch ups if you're still worried about it wearing off.
  • Question
How do you know if you are putting on too much makeup?
    Community Answer
If you don't look like yourself anymore, then you are certainly wearing way too much makeup. There is no perfect amount of makeup a girl or lady should wear, so perhaps you want to consult another person you trust and ask their advice. A parent, aunt or sister is always a good idea!
  • Question
How is this even called natural makeup when you are putting a lot of products on your face? This seems silly.
    Community Answer
The term "natural makeup" refers to how the wearer looks when the makeup is done--like they're not wearing makeup. Some products are optional depending on whether you want or need to wear it or not. The point is that your flaws are covered but you still look natural, so uneven skin tone, blemishes, dark circles and saggy bits are covered but you look natural and fresh.
  • Question
How do you prevent this look from ruining during the day?
    Community Answer
Try not to touch your face, and keep yourself cool to prevent sweating. Hats providing some shade are a great idea.
  • Question
After a few hours of wearing foundation it always seems to turn an orange color. Why does it do that and how can i fix it? I've already tried using different primers and moisturizers but nothing ever works.
    Community Answer
Foundation oxidizes, which means that it can become darker during the day. Find a foundation that states that it won't do this. Look for foundations that are naturally more yellow/orange toned, there are some out there.
  • Question
How do you detect your skin type?
    Community Answer
If your forehead and nose--called the T-zone--get oily very easily, you have oily skin. If your T-zone gets oily, but the rest of your face is dry, you have combination skin. And if you don't get overly oily in any place, you have "normal" skin. This mainly corresponds with what you should use to wash your face and care for it correctly, not so much for makeup.
  • Question
At what age can you start wearing makeup?
    Community Answer
You can start at any age, but you should ask your parents if it's okay first. Girls typically start wearing makeup in their tween to teen years. However, many people feel that young girls shouldn't wear any or heavy makeup, but that decision is up to you and your parents.
  • Question
How can I make makeup last long?

  • Question
How do you put on liquid eyeliner?
    Community Answer
To apply liquid eyeliner flawlessly You first need to start off with a base primer for your eyelid.A fter you apply the primer you want to get an eyeliner that is easy for you to work with and make sure the applicator is a good applicator. Start from the middle of your eyelid and make a thing line going to your tear duct. Next bring it out to the outer area of your eye, make it slightly thicker as it gets near the edge of your eye.
  • Question
What if you're not allowed to use some of the listed products?
    Community Answer
A few products mentioned here aren't essential (such as concealer if you don't have to cover any blemishes, or bronzer if you don't like the look), and even though they're part of some girl's daily routine, they don't have to be part of yours! If you aren't allowed to wear mascara or eyeliner for example, you can try other ways to replace them. Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler in place of using mascara, or use an eyeliner brush and medium to dark eye shadow for eyeliner--this is a pretty common practice even for those who own eyeliner.
  • Question
How do I find a lip color that suits me if I want a natural look?
    Community Answer
If you're going for a natural look, it's best to leave your lips bare. Bright red lips and even nude colors look unnatural. People are more prone to make eye contact with people who aren't wearing any lipstick.
  • Question
I don't really have much make up, but I still want to look pretty like this. Any tips and help for this?
    Community Answer
Stay healthy - this will take care of your skin so you won't really need concealers or foundations. Drinking a healthy amount of water, getting sleep and keeping a healthy diet often works better than makeup. Mascara and a brown or black eyeliner can actually do a lot, and can be bought at most all drugstores. Chapsticks or lip balms can keep your lips soft.
  • Question
Do I have to put on primer before putting on BB cream?

Yes. Primer gets the whole face ready for the makeup that will go on next.
  • Question
    What is good for beginners?
    Community Answer
For younger people, it's best to just go fresh faced. If you want you can curl your eyelashes, but just don't go overboard with the lipstick and mascara. Teens ages 12-15 almost always look better without makeup. Embrace your bare face!
  • Question
How do you apply winged eye liner? It never works for me.
    Community Answer
Use tape near your eyelids to get the perfect shape. Keep doing that until you get the hang of it. If you still can't do that, ask friends/family or even makeup artists for advice. Also, buy eyeliners that let you have a lot of control so that it's easier to apply.
  • Question

  • Question
I'm 12 and want to wear a tiny bit of makeup for a natural look. What should I wear?
    Community Answer
If you want the most natural look, you should try BB Cream where you have acne, and a neutral shade lip gloss. If you want a little less natural you can add mascara and a little bit of eyeliner on your top lid where your eyelashes are.
  • Question
Would it get noticed when I wear it? Because I would not like that.
    Community Answer
The more natural you keep the look, the less noticeable it will be. With lipstick, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and anything shiny or anything that really contrasts with your skin color, it will generally be apparent that you're wearing it - but not in an attention-drawing way. With things like concealer and foundation, it may or may not be apparent depending on the products you're using and your skill with application.

I am 10, what kind of makeup should I wear to school?
    Trixyy
    Community Answer
I suggest only using a little makeup, and nothing too grown up like lipstick or foundation. Use a little concealer and some blush, maybe a little eye shadow, and lip gloss. Try using a neutral color for the eye shadow, like a shade of brown.
