    Expert Answer
Show a genuine interest in other people by asking them questions about themselves.
  • Question
If I am too nice, will people not like me?
    Community Answer
Don't be nice just for the sake of being nice. Be nice without being over the top. Also, if people don't like you, that's their problem. Don't try to change yourself to please others and don't try to impress your enemies, just do what you want. Be you.
  • Question
I really want everyone to like me, but I think I always insult everyone, and they call me drama queen. How can I apologize and just be nice?
    Community Answer
It will take time for people to change their perception about you -- and, of course, you'll have to actually change what's abrasive or annoying about your personality. Don't take things too personally. If people insult you, turn it into a joke or a pun instead of coming up with a mean comeback. About the drama, Just don't. You don't always have to talk about everything. Treat others the way you'd like to be treated, and if you can't say something nice or helpful, don't sat anything.
  • Question
How do I attract another's interest by talking?
    Community Answer
Try to talk about something interesting that could lead them to want to hear more about it.
  • Question
I have a soft bipolar disorder that can sometimes cause hard to control mood swings. How do I repress them to seem happier?
    Community Answer
If you feel unwanted emotions coming, just remove yourself from the situation and breathe deeply until it passes.
  • Question
My friends talk to me when we're alone, but in public they don't want to say a word to me. What's wrong with me?
    Community Answer
It's not you. That's just them being fake. A true friend will always acknowledge you. You might want to think about finding new friends.
  • Question
How do you change people's opinions about you?
    Community Answer
It's not easy to change your reputation, but be consistent with your behavior and you could convince others that you're different from what they think.
  • Question
How do I become liked when I'm ugly?
    Community Answer
You don't have to be beautiful to be liked. Just be nice and friendly to people and try to have some confidence. Don't be insecure about your looks, and definitely don't be someone who is always talking about these insecurities.
  • Question
How can I stop being shy in front of people?
    Community Answer
Just learn to be comfortable in your own body and try making and maintaining eye contact.
  • Question
How can I ask for a girl's phone number?
    Community Answer
Don't come off too strong, but don't be too shy either. Be confident. Pay attention to body language. If she is already your friend then just ask for it.

  • Question
How do I stop feeling so negative all the time?
    Community Answer
Follow your dreams and hobbies, and don't let anything around stress you. You might have been depressed by contemporary issues, but think about your future. Whenever you feel like that, don't stay idle. Instead, get up and start doing something.
  • Question
There's so much to remember. How do I keep all of this in mind when I'm actually talking to someone?
    Community Answer
Don't try to memorize a bunch of instructions. Read through the tips and try to incorporate the ones that make the most sense to you. Other than that, just try to be a nice, polite person and people will like you.
  • Question
How can I get people who bully me to like me?

Most times you can't get people like that to like you. The best way is to stay away from them as much as possible. If they corner you up sometimes, just ignore them.
  • Question
I know people are not all going to like me, but some people are just flat out rude to me. How can I tell them nicely that they are being rude?
    Community Answer
I would suggest just staying away from them, but if that's not an option, you can just say something like, "I don't understand why you're being so rude to me. I'm trying to be polite and friendly to you." Kill them with kindness!
  • Question
What are some ways to get more people to like me if I have a strange sense of humor that isn't easily understood by others?
    Community Answer
It’s always nice to find someone with the same humor as you. But try first to understand what others find humor, learn to make them laugh, and then perhaps help them to learn to enjoy what you find funny as well.

  • Question
How do I get more girls to like me?
    Community Answer
Just be nice! Be nice and sincere and really involved in the conversation! One thing is that if you are with a group of girls, don't be too flirty. It will make them feel like you are just trying to get with them and don't really care about any of them at all. So pretty much just be a good person and they will like you! But every girl is different, so really pay attention to body language to see whether they like how you are acting towards them or not.
  • Question
Everyone in my class has made groups already and I don't belong in any group. I've tried to be friend with several people but they only want to be friends if no one is around. What should I do?
    Community Answer
Don't try too hard. Focus on your studies because friendship just occurs as these bonds are more emotional. If you don't connect emotionally, they may not feel it either. Spend time exploring your interests. Develop your sense of likes. Keep digging deeper about whatever you like but have been avoiding. Your interests make you interesting, to some people. So, be somewhere positive while alone and it will reflect when you'll share space with others. If you ignore yourself, they might sense it and do it too.
