  • Question
I reloaded an earlier save, and it still isn't working. What else can I try?
    Community Answer
Try talking to the quest giver again, or maybe you messed it up before and have to restart.
  • Question
Can I keep my current follower when the Jarl offers her Housecarl?
    Community Answer
Yep! Either your current follower will leave and go to where they were recruited, or the Housecarl will not follow you and remain in the Keep/Housecarl Quarters in your house.
  • Question
If I have a high bounty and don't have the money to pay it off before buying the manor, what should I do?
    Community Answer
Go to jail and do your sentence -- this will allow you to lose the bounty without paying it off. (The only downside is that you lose a little bit of accumulated skill.) You should deposit any stolen items in a safe place before going to jail, as the guards will take your stolen items.
  • Question
What do I do if I have a very high bounty early in the game, and can't buy property on my Xbox 360?
    Community Answer
Pay off your bounty, or work on getting a house in a town where you don't have a bounty.
  • Question
What do I do if the quest mark didn't go away after I collected the smooka?
    Community Answer
You don't collect it! You need to kill the skooma dealers to complete the quest.
  • Question
What should I do if I can't find Wujeeta?
    Community Answer
She stays at Helga's when she's not working, so I would look there.
  • Question
I've completed a quest where I had to kill the Skooma dealers. Why won't the Jarl give me the second quest?
    Community Answer
You don't have another quest. You help five people of Riften and you get to be Thane.
  • Question
How do I get Honeyside Manor if Wujeeta is dead?
    Community Answer
Reload a recent save. If you don't have one, then try to use console cheats.
  • Question
How do I trigger the quest to help the citizens?
    Community Answer
Finish the skooma dealer questline and the jarl will mention there is room in her court for a thane. This should immediately assign you the quest to "Help ?/5 people of the Rift." It will be listed on your quest menu under "Miscellaneous." If you don't find it, double check that all of the skooma quests (killing the dealer in the warehouse, finding the source of the skooma, cleaning out the cave etc.) are complete. If you still don't have the quest, it may be bugged for you. Try reloading an earlier save.
  • Question
Can I buy Honeyside on a console?
    Community Answer
Yes! Do the Skooma quest by talking to Wujeeta and helping her with the sickness. Then, ask her who gave her the Skooma, speak with the Jarl, and do as she says.
  • Question
How can I swift travel to Riften if I haven't discovered it yet?
    Community Answer
You can't. You could fast travel to a major hold (Whiterun is the closest to the starting location) and take the carriage to Riften though.
  • Question
    Where is the warehouse?
    Community Answer
It is right outside of Riften.
  • Question
What do I do if I completed the quests and was never asked if I wanted to help 5 people?
    Community Answer
You aren’t ever asked to help out 5 people, the Jarl just says to help the citizens, so you go talk to them and they’ll give you tasks.
  • Question
What should I do if I talked to the steward, but he doesn't have the information that I have helped five people?
    Community Answer
That sounds like a bug, but you can close and open the quest again. If you can't do that, go to your old save file.
  • Question
If I get married, will my wife stay in my house?
    Community Answer
You will have to ask her to move to the new house.
  • Question
The Jarl didn't ask me to help the people of Riften. What should I do?
    Community Answer
There is the Steward (probably in another room) who can give you the quest. If not, reload a save file from before the quest and try again.
  • Question
    Where is the fishery?
    Community Answer
Just walk around the perimeter of Riften and you should find it pretty quickly.
  • Question
After doing everything necessary, why won't the quest marker go away in Skyrim?
    Community Answer
Either you didn't finish everything, or you will have to reload an earlier save and do it all over again.
  • Question
I completed the Skooma Quest and talked to the jarl, but the Thane dialogue won't pop up. What should I do?
    Community Answer
You must complete citizen quests in Riften, then again talk to the Jarl for the Thane dialogue.
  • Question
What do I do if I gave Wujeeta the healing potion, but no speech marker showed up for me to ask who is selling it?
    Caeiia
    Top Answerer
This might be a bug. Scroll up and down on the dialogue options to make sure it isn't there. If it still isn't, you'll have to reload a save file from before you talked to her.
  • Question
If Laila isn't with the Jarl in Skyrim, can I purchase Honeyside Manor?
    Community Answer
Laila is the Jarl of Riften. You talk to the Steward about buying Honeyside Manor.
  • Question
How do I buy the Honeyside Manor in Skyrim if I am not getting the options to help people when talking to the Jarl?
    Community Answer
Speak to the steward. If that doesn't work, reload an earlier save from before the skooma quest and do it all over again.
  • Question
Can I purchase Honeyside Manor in Skyrim on the PS3?

Yes, you can. You can get it on any device, as long as you have the DLC.
  • Question
Is it possible to sell Breezehome and buy the Honeyside Manor with the money, or do I have to get the money from scratch?
    Community Answer
You cannot sell your house in Skyrim. You have to earn the coin yourself.
  • Question
    Can my follower permanently die?
    Community Answer
If you were more specific it would really help this answer but most followers can die. However, if they are essential (needed for a quest), then they cannot die until that quest is completed. They will just go down onto one knee until their health returns but all other followers, including housecarls, can die.
  • Question
Will this work on the Xbox 360 version of Skyrim?
    Community Answer
Yes! It works on all systems, including Switch, PC and consoles. If it doesn't work, then check to make sure that the quests are fully completed.
  • Question
What do I do if I did everything right and still can't buy Honeyside Manor in Skyrim?
    Community Answer
Try to reload the last save file. If that doesn't work, then see whether or not the quests are fully completed, as they need to be done first.
  • Question
What do I do if I haven't gotten the quest to help the citizens of Riften when trying to buy Honeyside Manor in Skyrim?
    Community Answer
It is not part of a quest. However, it is showed as a quest after helping ?/5 People. Thieves Guild quests do not count.
