  • Question
    How do I introduce myself?
    Community Answer
Start with a simple "Hello." Tell them your name and proceed to shake hands with the interviewer. Ask them their name if they haven't given it to you. Tell them it's nice to meet them. Act confident and project your voice, but don't yell.
  • Question
If I don't know the answer for the technical question asked by the interviewer what should I do?
    Community Answer
Ask for an explanation and think of a personal experience that may relate, and try to connect the two. Or if it's something completely technical and you don't know yet, be honest. However, inform the employer that you would like to learn and grow, so even though you don't know yet you would like to learn. No one is perfect.

  • Question
What should I do if a technical question is asked and I don't know the answer?
    Community Answer
Tell them directly that you don't know the answer, but that you are keen to develop your knowledge and skills in that area.
  • Question
How should I answer when someone asks me to 'Tell me about yourself'?
    Community Answer
Answer by telling them about what makes you stand out from the others as an individual, but still in relation to the job you're interviewing for. They want to know what kind of person you are to see if it fits the profile of an employee in their business. Sell yourself in a relevant manner.
  • Question
What things would help me to achieve success in an interview to get a job?
    Community Answer
Be calm, sit up straight, and make eye contact with the interviewer. Try not to take too fast or stammer. Think about what you're going to say before you start talking. Pretend to be confident, even if you don't feel that way.
  • Question
When I'm asked to introduce myself, shouldn't I start by saying my name, age, and place of birth? What's the most appropriate way to start and end the introduction?
    Community Answer
For an interview, you never tell an interviewer your birthday, age, or place of birth unless they ask. They don't need to know that information. All you need to do is introduce yourself by name. Say something like, "Hello, my name is [your name]. It's nice to meet you." You don't need any more of a formal introduction than that, you'll just be responding to their questions.

  • Question
If being asked describe yourself during an interview, how are you supposed to answer that?

    Top Answerer
Describe yourself in a professional way related to working environments - Do you show up on time every day? Do you like physical labor work or do you prefer computer based work? Do you like to keep a clean organised workspace? do you enjoy working with others or alone? These are just a few things you can possibly mention when asked to "describe yourself". Just list a few and wait for the interviewer's response, don't list too many as it may work against you then.
