    Community Answer

  • Question
How do I change my religion?
    Community Answer
You need to be able to find faith in Jesus and know it's not just about reading a book, knowing the rules, or acting like a good person. You need to pray and listen. Give the Holy Spirit time to answer you prayers, and know God doesn't move at the same pace as us. Sometimes when we think one thing is right such as a perfect job or what appears to be a great partner ultimately doesn't fall into God's will. It is so easy to try and put your will first, but when you truly let it play out God's will is not only going to have a superior result for you but for those around you.
  • Question
I am a Muslim and want to become a Christian. But I don't have any money to do so with, what is my best option?
    Community Answer
You do not need money to become a Christian. Being a Christian is about the mindset of your heart, believing in God. With Christianity, it's all about your relationship with you and God. The only thing that you would need to buy is a Bible and many places will give one to you for free. And if you can't get one, then you can always read one online!
  • Question
    How do I follow Christianity?
    Community Answer
Ask Jesus to come into your heart proclaims that you believe in Him or are willing to believe. That's a great first step. Have spiritual discipline: Following the Lord means that you want to turn from worldly ways and start surrendering things to God. Churches, bible studies, reading the bible on your own, hanging out with other Christians that will hold you accountable to right choices and love you through your struggles, these are all good things to do. Build a relationship: Being a Christian means that you have a relationship with Jesus. Just as you would with a dear friend, it is good to plan "hang out" times with God. Ask a Christian friend for more ways to do this.
  • Question
What should I do if I want to adopt Christianity, but am not sure which denomination I should join?

  • Question
If I was baptized when I was young but have not been living a Christian life, do I need to be baptized again?

  • Question
Do Christians believe in evolution or the Big Bang, or is science incompatible with religion?
    Community Answer
Evolution does not necessarily disprove the existence of God. Science deals not with metaphysical matters of religion, but rather with the observable nature of the world around us. Just as there are sects of Christianity that deny evolution as incompatible with the faith, there are also many Christians and sects of Christianity that have accepted evolution into their belief systems. You can study these differing interpretations in order to come to an understanding that best suits you.

Having a relationship with Jesus is a choice you must make on your own. Fear the Lord, not men! You can't "make" your parents Christian, but if you are truly reborn, they will start to notice changes in your behavior - positive changes. You don't want to live in sin anymore! (It is for freedom's sake that you have been freed!" Gal. 5:1) Make the decision on your own, and then live it. Pray for your parents, because that's how the Holy Spirit works.

  • Question
Do Christians think it's a sin to believe in Santa Claus?
    Community Answer
Some may, but overall no. I'm a Christian, and Christmas is a celebration of Jesus's birthday, and Santa Claus is a part of the celebrating of Christmas, although not so much in the religious sense. He is somewhat linked to Saint Nicholas but very loosely, much like St. Valentine is linked to Valentines Day. Some people say that Santa and Christmas trees have pagan origins, but it's all just in spirit of the holidays and having fun. Christianity itself grew out of many pagan traditions, probably absorbing some. There's no harm in children believing in Santa Claus, nor is it a sin.
  • Question
Do they pay if a person accepts Christianity?
    Community Answer
No, there is no payment for accepting Christ as your personal savior and becoming part of the Christian faith. The only reward is eternal life. John 3:16 says "for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son so that whoever believeth in Him shall have eternal life". There is definitely no payment to us, but there is a large reward.

Is it a bad idea to convert to Christianity just for love? My boyfriend and I love each other a lot, but he is a Christian and God is so important to him that he can't marry an atheist.
    Trojanhorse
    Community Answer
Converting for someone else may not be a good idea. But if it sends you on the path of true conversion it may be a good thing. I know many people who been converted by their significant other and have remained strong Christians. If you know for a fact you will never have faith, it would be disrespectful to your boyfriend, to God, and to yourself to convert. But if you want to explore this, you should. Start by attending church with your boyfriend. See how it feels to you.
  • Question
Is it a good idea to change my religion for marriage?

No, I don't believe so. God instructs us to put Him above all others, including our spouses. Changing religions for your spouse would go against that since you would be putting your spouse above God.
  • Question
Will Jesus put me in hell if I don't accept Him as my Savior?
    Community Answer
According to many Christian sects, if you're not following Jesus or if you don't believe in Him, then you're definitely not going to heaven. So yes, you would go to Hell. But Jesus doesn't want to put you there. He loves you very much.
