  • Question
Can I drop out of all my classes within the first week of my freshman year in college?
    Community Answer
Yes, you can. Go to the registrar's office, admissions office and financial aid office (if you received financial aid money). If you owe money, they will bill you.
  • Question
I really want to drop out of college, but I can't find my adviser. What do I do?
    Community Answer
If you want to withdraw from college, you use a form you can get in the registrar's office. Make sure you finish any classes you have started, or you could have to return title 4 funds to the school. Usually, your adviser is the coordinator for whatever degree program you are enrolled in.
  • Question
How long will the paperwork take to get approved?
    Community Answer
It depends on when you submit the paperwork. The best option would be to ask your advisor.
  • Question
Can I take a semester off without having to reapply again?
    Community Answer
It is 100% dependent on the university/college. At a lot of colleges, they are okay with taking a hiatus, but at my school, you have to unenroll and "reapply," but they keep all of your academic/financial aid information and usually don't cut your financial aid unless it is a specific scholarship or something.
  • Question
What do I do if I just don't go back to college anymore without filing any paperwork?
    Community Answer
If you want to stop attending college for good without filling paperwork, be prepared to pay off all the financial aid or loans you owe.
  • Question
Can I drop out within that first week as freshman as an international student? What will happen if I do that?

  • Question
If I'm finished with my first semester, and I'm deciding to drop out. Will I have any debts to pay to the college?
    Community Answer
You will still have to pay back any loans you took out to pay for college. It is less likely that you would have to pay back the scholarship money but check with the college for details.
