  • Question
If someone blocks me, can they still see what I post or comment on?
    Community Answer
No. They won't be able to see anything that you say or do on Facebook.
  • Question
If you delete your profile on Facebook and start again, can you get the person who blocked you back?
    Community Answer
As long as your profile was deleted (not disabled, deleted), and you start again (with a new email address, of course), yes, you can get the person who blocked you back. However, they still have the power to block you if they wish, so therefore, the process of deleting your old account and starting over again would've been absolutely pointless. There is probably a good reason for being blocked, so perhaps deal with that issue foremost.
  • Question
Can a person see if someone searched for him/her on Facebook?
    Community Answer
No, they can't. People on Facebook won't know if you see their comments, posts, timelines, or profile.
  • Question
I can't reply to a recent message. It says, "You can't reply to this message." Does this mean I am blocked?
    Community Answer
If it says that "this person isn't receiving messages from you at this time," he or she could have blocked you from Messenger, but not from Facebook. If you're able to click on the person's profile and it pops up, you are not blocked - but just blocked from messaging.
  • Question
Today I searched for someone whom I was able to find a few days ago, and now I can't find them. What can I do?
    Community Answer
The most likely reason is this person has changed their privacy settings to prevent people from browsing their profile. There isn't anything you can do about that. If this person was on your friend's list already, and you suddenly can't find them, then they have either deleted their account or blocked you.
  • Question
I thought someone I had an argument with had blocked me on Facebook, but I can still see them as active on Messenger. Does that mean I am unblocked?
    Community Answer
If you can get onto their profile, this means they have not blocked you or unblocked you. Regarding messenger, refresh your active list, it takes a minute or so for the person you've been talking to be switch from being 'active' to simply 'Facebook user'.
  • Question
What does it mean that "this person is not available right now" when try to send the message on Facebook?
    Community Answer
Basically, that just means that someone is not available to answer your message which probably just means they are busy.
  • Question
Do I get any notification on Facebook if any of my friends block me?
    Community Answer
No, you will not get a notification saying that someone blocked you on Facebook.
  • Question
If I can't see my friend on my chat list, has he blocked me?
    Community Answer
Not necessarily. He might be offline, might have unfriended you, or might have deleted his account.
  • Question
What could be the reason that I'm not seeing someone's posts?
    Community Answer
The person could have hidden the post from you, deleted the post, or blocked you.
  • Question
How do I find someone if I can't remember their name?
    Community Answer
If you both have a mutual friend then check that person's friends list on Facebook to see if you can spot them/recognize the name upon seeing it.
  • Question
Can I still be friends with someone who has blocked me?
    Community Answer
If you are blocked on Facebook, then no, you can't be friends on Facebook. However, a Facebook block would not prohibit access to the person through different mediums or even in person.
  • Question
Can I see a list of accounts I blocked in Facebook Messenger?
    Community Answer
Yes. Go into settings, into privacy then into blocking. There will be a list of the names of the people you’ve blocked.
  • Question
What does it mean if it says I'm connected on Facebook Messenger but can't look them up on Facebook?
    Community Answer
It might just mean they have Messenger and don’t have an actual Facebook profile because you can do that. However, they might have blocked you on the profile, just not on the chat.
  • Question
What do I do if I can't see someone's Facebook profile picture, but I can send messages and chat with them?
    Community Answer
They might not have a profile picture uploaded to their profile. Sometimes people do this for personal reasons.
  • Question
What does it mean when someone does not have an "add friend" option on their timeline?
    Community Answer
It means their profile is on very private settings. If you wish to be friends with this person on Facebook, they would need to add you if you don’t have this setting either.
  • Question
Can you get in trouble if someone blocks you on Facebook?
    Community Answer
No, unless you also posted content that violates Facebook's rules or created multiple accounts to bypass the block. If someone blocks you, nothing else happens except that you can't see their profile or interact with them in any way.
  • Question
If person has privacy settings on high and you can't see their posts, can you comment on an old post they made before changing their privacy settings?
    Community Answer
No. If someone has a private user page, you cannot post anywhere in there. It doesn't matter when the post was made, everything on their profile will be hidden from everyone except friends or just the user. Your comments posted on their profile will stay.
