  • Question
    How can people reduce pollution?
    Community Answer
Maybe try my experience: Twice a week, I go out in the local neighborhood. I have a litter pickup tool, gloves, tea, and several thirteen gallon bags. I spend about an hour to hour and a half removing litter from roadsides. Some people throw litter out car windows, especially where there are no houses. Eventually, all this plastic, metal, glass ends up in streams, creeks, rivers, ocean. This is great exercise. I burn calories, get some love from the neighbors, and feel great afterwards because I made a difference. When I pass by teenagers, I am friendly, but not very verbal. My actions are communicating a lot to them. I have noticed much less littering since I started this, but that takes time. Be safe!
  • Question

Stop littering. Avoid using plastic bags. When you litter it can easily go into the ocean. Ocean animals think of it as food so they decide to eat it. They mistake plastic bags for jellyfish. It's not okay to harm the animals.
