Stick a thermometer with a small tip inside of the cookie and check to make sure that it's thoroughly cooked.
  • Question
How do I know when flat cookies are done?
    Community Answer
If you are able to touch the top of them and they are right between soft and firm (or how you would prefer them), they would be good. if you are able to touch them and they still feel to dough-like, leave them in the oven for another 2 or 3 minutes. If they are more on the brown side and are hard to the touch, they are likely overcooked.
  • Question

    Community Answer
Larger cookies have crumble toppings, as they need a good surface to hold the topping. You can make one by mixing a tablespoon flour, butter and powdered sugar. Sprinkle on cookie before baking and enjoy.
  • Question
When you touch the top of the cookie and it is airy soft, how much longer do you cook them?
    Community Answer
You've probably baked them long enough. That is how cookies are supposed to be before they cool. Overcooking them can ruin the texture.
