  • Question
Where do you get the botanicals?
    Torpi
    Top Answerer
That depends on where you live. In some areas, you can get them from the spice section of an ordinary supermarket. In others - especially warmer climates - you may have to go to a speciality store, or order them online.
  • Question
No water added? I am using a corn alcohol with 99% pure. Should it be so strong?
    Torpi
    Top Answerer
The instructions specify vodka, which is less than half that strength! If you're sure that your corn alcohol is safe for human consumption even when diluted (unlike methylated spirits and pure ethanol, for instance), you should use four parts corn alcohol to six parts water.

  • Question
Has anyone experimented with adding fresh berries in the 2nd part of the process (after 24 hours)? Did it taste good?
    BELLA
    Community Answer
The fruit of the Synsepalum dulcificum plant has been dubbed 'miracle berry' for its amazing ability to make sour foods taste sweet. This effect is due to miraculin, a glycoprotein found in the berry. When eaten, miraculin binds to a specific sweet receptor on cells in our taste buds.
