    Community Answer
That's okay. Use your intuition: if taking a branch feels wrong or rude, then don't do it. Find a different tree. If, say you're going for a walk, and you find a branch that looks perfect, then that energy is right for you. You can give the tree sacred water or tie a ribbon on it for luck or leave a crystal there. Watch out for trees that look ill or sick.
  • Question
Can I use fake pearls or beads for my Crystal?
    Community Answer
In a pinch, there does not seem to be any clear reason as to why this wouldn't suffice, other than the obvious complaint that it is not the actual version of the item you're using. But, since the correlations you have with the stone itself are still present, this has the potential of working. Charging your faux stone or pearl would be even better -- almost a form of compensation for it not being the "true" version of itself. In short, your belief in the stone's properties and how you use it will ultimately decide how effective it is.

  • Question
Is it good if I saw a butterfly, heard a locust, and found a feather from a bird when collecting a branch from a willow tree?
    Community Answer
You're going to have a hell of a wand on your hands if you do this: Get some holy water from a Catholic church. It would be even better if you could get them to bless the branch for you with the water. Split the feather and take the feather parts off one half. Using a sharp object, gouge a deep groove and place the feather runner in at the thicker end. Rub it with damp heavy soil to seal. Burn incense and sage all the while and focus your intent into the wand. Wrap the end of the wand with the feather runner in leather. That is the end you hold. Be careful!
