  • Question
Will the words be read to me, or will I need to read them?
    C Grace
    Community Answer
You should be provided with a text that you are expected to read yourself and replicate within a certain time frame.
  • Question
What is a passing score on a typing test?
    Community Answer
A typing speed above 40 WPM (Words Per Minute) is higher than the average score, and over 100 WPM is usually considered a high speed (when it is achieved with zero errors).
  • Question
How can I improve my typing speed?
    Community Answer
Find a paragraph online to practice with and begin timing yourself while you type the paragraph. Like anything else, continue to practice with that same paragraph until you are able to beat your own speed. Eventually you can try to do it without looking at the keyboard.
  • Question
What should I do in typing club?

Do whatever you are asked to do. You are there to improve your skills, so take advantage of other people's knowledge and experience.

    No.
  • Question
I know how to type very well, but I fail the test. Any advice?
    Community Answer
Sometimes you just have to keep practicing to get better at something. There's really no such thing as a maximum potential.
  • Question
What do I do if I miss the finger positions on a typing test?
    Brett Gilbert
    Top Answerer
Take a quick time-out to reset your finger positioning. Most tests don't really test for positioning, but if it's important for yours, just try to keep going to the best of your ability.
