Unscrew the battery door on the bottom of the Bop It Shout or the Bop It XT. Then put the AA or AAA batteries inside, and it will work again. To turn it to part mode, pull the knob three times when you hear the Bop It say "party".

The speed of the Bop It will change automatically as you progress in the game. You can not change the speed manually. If you have a modded bop it (which means you can change the clock speed with a knob) you can change the speed and pitch manually. But to do this, you have to replace resistor 1 with a pitch control knob.

The only one I know is Bop It 2008 (shout). When you beat 100 commands you unlock expert. There is a button on the side to change from novice to expert.

You twist the "twist it" crank to adjust the volume. There are three settings.

Try replacing the batteries. If that does not work, check to see if the battery prongs are corroded.

Pull the "pull it" crank to turn it on. If you own Bop It XT, spin the red wheel to turn it on.

The Bob It commands tell you which button or lever to hit. "Bop it" means you need to hit the center button. "Flick it" means you need to tug on the green lever on the side. "Spin it" means you need to turn the red wheel. Twist the yellow handle when you hear "twist it." "Pull it" means you need to slide the blue lever out. If your Bob It has a "shake it" command, then shake the whole device.

Some versions of Bop It features an additional command that says, "Shake it!" When you hear the command, shake the entire device with both hands. The internal mechanism will detect that you shook the Bop It and will give you another command.

In a single game, the highest score you can achieve is 100. That means you followed the sequence in the right order for 100 commands in a row. If you beat all 4 solo games, you can achieve a total score of 400. If you score 400, then you beat the entire game!
