It is not much more rare than a wheat penny from 1944. It is only worth a little bit more just because it is steel and it is just a nice collectible. The reason they were made in steel was because the army needed copper and they could save lots of copper that way. The coin is not worth all that much it is worth about 50 cents, depending on the current condition.
