  • Question
Will Tide Pods clog my pipes?
    Aasim
    Top Answerer
No. Tide Pods are very basic, and the plastic dissolves in the water. They will not clog because a dissolved chemical will flow with the water.
  • Question
My son ate one and now he's coughing up blood. Is there any herbal cure for this?
    Community Answer
Take him to an emergency room.
  • Question
What do I do if I ate one?
    Aasim
    Top Answerer
Call the poison control center. Tide pods are extremely poisonous and can cause burns and vomiting.
  • Question
    Are Tide pods edible?
    Community Answer
    No, they are not.
  • Question
What if we're trying to consume the pods?
    Community Answer
DON'T! They are not safe for ingestion. If you have ingested the contents, call Poison Control immediately.
  • Question
My gentle Tide Pods are not dissolving in my HE front loader. I place pods in the bottom and rear of the drum under my clothes. I do not over load. Suggestions?
    Aasim
    Top Answerer
Check the cycle settings. Also, for a front load machine, place the pods in the back, not on the bottom.
  • Question
My machine is locked between the pre-rinse and main wash cycles, so won't the soap from the pod be rinsed out of the machine before the main wash begins?
    Aasim
    Top Answerer
No, it will not rinse out. One Tide pod has enough for one load of laundry.
  • Question
Do I have to open the Tide Pod to use it in the washing machine?
    Aasim
    Top Answerer
Tide Pods should not be opened, as they contain highly concentrated detergent capable of irritating the skin. If the liquid inside of the pods come in contact with the skin, wash it with water.
  • Question
Do the colors and separate parts of the pod actually correspond to different things, such as the fabric softener, detergent, and stain remover? And, if so, do you know which is the fabric softener?
    Aasim
    Top Answerer
The colors are all different chemicals. They do not correspond to different things, though. You still want to keep that Downy fabric softener and that Tide stain remover pen.
  • Question
Can tide pods be used with cold water?
    Community Answer
Yes. They will dissolve with any temperature of water.
  • Question
Can I ingest one if I first dissolve it in water?
    Aasim
    Top Answerer
Do not attempt to consume Tide Pods. They are a strong base and will cause severe burns. If one is swallowed, call Poison Control right away.
  • Question
Can you use Tide pods in a top washer?
    Aasim
    Top Answerer
You can use Tide pods in a top or a side load washing machine. Just make sure to add the detergent into the actual drum of the machine and not the dedicated "laundry detergent" slot.
  • Question
What do I do if I spill some detergent on my hands?
    Community Answer
Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water to get rid of the detergent. If you have any reactions to the detergent, see your doctor or community nurse.
