When you want to showcase a clip or video from your Instagram Stories, you can add it to your profile as a Highlight. Unlike a Story, a Highlight does not have a time limit and will stay on your profile until you remove it. You can save Highlights from your own profile using the Instagram app, or you can download Stories and Highlights shared by others using a third-party website. This wikiHow teaches you how to save either your own or someone else's Instagram Highlights.

Quick Story Saving Steps

  1. Open the Instagram app.
  2. Tap on your profile icon in the lower-right corner.
  3. Tap the + button under your username/bio to view your archived stories.
  4. Tap on one or multiple stories to select them.
  5. Tap next and add the story (or stories) to your Highlights.
  6. Navigate to one of your Highlights you want to save.
  7. Tap the seen by count in the lower-left corner, then download your Highlight.
