  1. Go to the Yahoo account deletion page . You can use a desktop or mobile browser. This link is the quickest way to get started on the deletion process. [1]
    • If you aren't already signed into your account , you'll be prompted to enter your email address and password before proceeding.
  2. It's at the bottom of the information page.
    • This page outlines the terms of deletion, as well as reminding you to cancel any paid Yahoo services.
    • Before you delete your account, you should export your contacts , cancel any subscriptions, and back up information you may need in the future.

  4. Doing so will schedule your account for deletion. In 30 days, your account will be permanently deleted.

  1. This app is purple with a white envelope and "yahoo!" written on it.
    • This method will only remove the account from the app; it won't permanently delete it.
  2. This is in the top-left corner of the screen. A side panel will open.
  3. This is underneath Add another mailbox .
  4. You can find this in the top-right corner.
  5. This is in red.
  6. The email will be removed from your device.
    • Repeat these steps for other emails if necessary.

    Even after terminating my Yahoo! account using the above procedure, I can still log in to e-mail and messenger. How do I confirm that my account is deleted and no one else can access it?

    It takes 90 days for Yahoo! to delete your account, and if you have not waited 90 days, then you can still sign in. You will have to simply wait those 90 days and then it is for sure that your account is non-existent. For the last part, unless someone knows your password (and you would have to give it to them for that), then it is extremely unlikely someone will access your account besides you.
