I love this question and I am so ready. I host movie marathons every month at my house with friends and here are the most popular ones (plus some on my to-watch list!):
Star Wars
Harry Potter
Hunger Games
Twilight
Jurassic Park
Marvel movies
Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy
Indiana Jones
Lord of the Rings (include The Hobbit trilogy if you're feeling extra marathon-y
Pixar movies (can do a series like Toy Story or just watch all your faves)

we do "genre marathons" in my house, especially for halloween we will do horror marathons with like halloween , scream , nightmare on elm street , or just random scary movies that aren't necessarily part of a series. same with christmas: you've got elf , home alone , the grinch ......

We just did a chick flick marathon where everyone had to bring in their favorite romantic comedy; we ended up with Clueless , 10 Things I Hate About You , Mean Girls , Legally Blonde , and Bridget Jones' Diary . My friend, who hosted, also gave out framed photos of Heath Ledger as prizes to anyone who dressed like a character from one of the movies, it was so good 😭

yesssss to the romcom ideas, my bf and i actually just did something similar when we got snowed in a few weeks ago, there are a lot of classic romcoms streaming on netflix right now like miss congeniality, definitely maybe, notting hill, and 16 candles. it was so cozy and romantic ahaha
