  • Question
Do pumpkins make good indoor vine plants?
    Community Answer
Not really. They are a nice vine, but they require a lot of light to grow well, and if they can't find it, they will grow and climb to find it. As they grow and climb, they produce little curly "fingers" called tendrils. They grab everything they touch. Because of this, your pumpkin plant can easily become a permanent part of your furniture, fabrics, drapes, blinds etc.

  • Question
Is it possible for me to grow a pumpkin inside another pumpkin?
    Community Answer

  • Question
Can I regrow a pumpkin with just the root?
    Community Answer
No, pumpkins need to be grown from seeds.
  • Question
Can I grow two or three pumpkins in the same pot? And can I prune the plant to make it shorter, but still get the fruit?
    Community Answer
You can grow multiple pumpkins in a pot, but you will have to thin your pumpkins, meaning that you have to get rid of one before transplanting it to the ground. But if you don't thin it right you could kill the plant.
  • Question
Do I need to grow my pumpkins in clay pots?
    Community Answer
No. Although clay pots are a good option because they are fairly strong. Just use a smal pot at first and then transfer them to larger pots and then eventually outside.
  • Question
How long will this process take?
    Community Answer
90 -120 days on average. It depends on the species, as some may take longer. Also, never remove the female because they produce the fruit.
