QuestionIs there any way to make a fountain without a pump?Community AnswerIt has to do with the type of fountain you are creating. It may be easier with a pump, but another good idea is to add a hose and hide it.

QuestionWhat size and how strong should the pump I get be?Community AnswerThat requires a lot of information about the size of your fountain and the structure of your fountain. Basic things to take into consideration are: the flow rate of water out the fountain nozzle and pressure acting on the fluid. Bernoulli's equation on conservation of energy for fluids comes in handy here. However, a small water pump (can find one on e-bay) should be sufficient (3500 to 4000 L/hour flow rate) for home use.
