    Community Answer
"Buy" is usually specifying a number of items that must be purchased before receiving the ECBs. (For example, buying two of a particular item might get you extra bucks.) "Spend" is usually referring to the amount of money you must spend on your purchase before getting the EBCs.
  • Question
Are Extra Care Bucks used like cash?
    Tamara Liggins
    Community Answer
Yes, they can be used to pay for your items at the register if your card is attached to your online accounts. If your ECB are more than your purchase, you don't get the remaining balance back. It's forfeited. So make sure if you have $5 in ECB, you're actually spending the whole $5 and not short-changing yourself.
  • Question
I forgot my receipt, are the extra bucks on my card?
    Community Answer
If they were printed out then no they are not on your card. You can opt for digital receipts which will send them to your email and there you will have an option to send them to your card. Sending them to your card extends the time it takes for them to expire by a little bit so you will have a longer time to use them.
  • Question
Is there a limit to the amount of extra bucks I can earn in a week at CVS?
    Tamara Liggins
    Community Answer
Each ECB offer itself may have a limit. If it shows a limit, you would only get that number of ECBs no matter how many times during that ad period you bought the same item. There's no limit on how many things you can that will give you ECB, however.
