Is your Fire Stick remote unresponsive? If you want to manually restart your Fire Stick remote, you'll just need to unplug your TV or Stick and press a few buttons. We'll show you how to reset your FireStick remote for most generations, basic edition, and Alexa voice remote (first generation).
Resyncing Your Fire Stick Remote
To reset most Fire TV remotes, unplug your Fire TV from the power supply and HDMI. Press and hold the Left, Menu, and Back button for 12 seconds. Release the buttons. Remove the batteries, plug your TV in again, and then replace the batteries. Press the Home button to resync your remote.

Release the buttons. Wait at least 5 seconds before continuing to the next step.

Take out the batteries. Open the panel on the back of the remote and carefully remove the batteries.

Plug your Fire TV in again. It'll take a moment to turn back on. When it does, it'll say that the remote can't be detected.

Put the batteries in the remote. This will turn the remote back on again.

Press the Home button. This will sync your remote back to the Fire TV. The LED on the remote should blink blue.
- If the remote doesn't pair , press and hold the Home button for at least 10 seconds.

While holding down the Home button, press the Menu button three times. The Home button looks like a house icon, while the Menu button has three horizontal lines.

Let go of the Home button. This is the button with the house on it.

Press the Menu button 9 times. This has three horizontal lines.
