I am seeing a lot of stubs in the greenhouse lately, and I had to remove some of the tags because they weren’t stubs. Is the stub bot still putting stub tags on articles, because most articles aren’t stubs with helpful information, images, and tips.
I have emailed support@wikihow.com
about this. It could be the stub bot that’s adding these questionable stub tags. Or, it could have been a vandalicial stub tag addition, which I haven’t seen, yet.

I think it is the stub bot since I don’t really see stub tags put for the purpose of vandalizing, or maybe it’s a regular wikiHow user that thinks the article is a stub.
To prove that theory, as we’re in the Stub Greenhouse, we’ll need to check the revision histories of the articles to see if it’s the stub bot that’s adding these. If we see it’s the stub bot for most of the articles, then it’s gotto be the stub bot. God knows what the stub bot could do next.

Here are some examples of who is putting the stub tag which I think are not stubs:
wikiHow support emailed me back today. Here is the response they sent back to me: Hi Daniel, Thanks for writing. The stub bot is powered by the votes of visitors to the article, and stubs pages they do not find helpful. I’m not sure in this case that the bot is the problem; perhaps readers don’t find the articles useful, despite them having steps, tips, and the usual pieces of wikiHow articles. Best, wikiHow Support After reading that, I’d thought I’d share it with you, so that you’d know why the stub bot’s doing this. Basically, as they said above, readers probably don’t find the articles useful, despite having good tips, explanations, and all that. Perhaps it’s because that they’re clicking the “No” button on the “Did this article help you?” widget.
