Just wanted to loop you all in on a new feature that Aaron put live this week: the option to print with or without images!

Just some background for newer folks: For many years, wikiHow’s printing page included images, but many community members expressed concerns that this took up too much space and ink on topics where pictures weren’t needed. So a few years ago, we took them out… but then that didn’t work out great for everyone either, since many readers did want images on the topics they printed. It was a no-win!

The good news, thanks to some engineering magic by Aaron, we will now have a choice when we click the “Print” link :)

It might seem like a small change, but it’s a pretty nifty one for usability, and I know a ton of readers will appreciate it - and hopefully many editors, as well! I used to get asked about printing with images at least once a week, so I’ll appreciate not having to say we don’t have the option, too:wink:

Neat! I’m sure this will be useful:slight_smile:

I wonder if the same issue will reoccur when there’s a device invented that allows you to print videos, though, since some people will want the videos printed and others will just want stills.:stuck_out_tongue:

Awesome feature! Thanks for sharing, and thanks to Aaron for the great work.:slight_smile:

Great! This is really a great feature added on Wikihow

Hah @Galactic Radiance - that’s a future I wanna live in! Harry Potter style!

@Eric and @Kanishka-Williamson - glad you like! I’ll tell Aaron:slight_smile:

Great!
