I was boosting some article when I realized that we don’t have {{nfd|inc}} tag under NFD drop down list. Can we have it as well?

A while ago Jack decided to temporarily remove that option, to seen how it would work. I think now is a good time to review that decision. I for one would really like it back. I don’t use it on a lot of articles, but some articles really need it. I don’t know if you remember, but in the NAB Hangout, at one point we were boosting an article, and put the acc template on it because we didn’t have the inc template. All deleting the inc template seems to be doing is making NFD Guardian more confusing, or making boosters directly edit the article to add the template.

Jack made an article on the use of nfd incomplete: http://forums.wikihow.com/discussion/14749/a-one-month-experiment-for-nfd-for-incomplete-in-nab/#Item_7

Though we need not use that template every now but some articles seriously need them. I have seen some articles which have 1 or 2 steps only. I consider such articles for Inc tag or else they might sit here for long remaining demoted. If any author wishes to improve them, he/she might start a fresh article. What do you think @Hibou8 and @Danielbauwens ?

In those cases I think it’s best to demote it and add a stub tag.

At first, I was in favor of the experiment. But as the month has gone on (and actually now it’s been two) I’ve disliked it more and more. The initial intention was to open a discussion after a month to see what the editors think, so I think we need to do that now. I, for one, think it should come back. For example, when I saw http://www.wikihow.com/Treat-Encephalitozoonosis-in-Dogs early this month, I thought it deserved an inc tag. It just says to bring your dog to the vet. That doesn’t even help anyone who wants to expand the article. However, it just got demoted, and since than all that’s happened to it has been categorization. It’s sat there three days short of two months. I still think it deserves an inc tag. I agree with Mohil Khare. I want that option back.

I actually think this experiment has been a success. I’d love to talk about it at the meetup. OK to talk about it then?

@JackHerrick What meetup?

@Hibou8 The meetup in Canada next week.

Oh ok. I won’t be there. I guess you guys will discuss it.

I might have some ideas at the meetup! I look forward to discussing it there:slight_smile:

Alrighty @JackHerrick , @Adelaide and @Lutherus-Shyrilser ! Though I won’t be there in this meetup but I am looking forward to see what happens next week:slight_smile:
