I have not started this yet, but I think this would be extremely helpful for Genshin Impact.
A while back, I stumbled across https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p10yiwULJA8
which details how to pronounce Liyue characters in Genshin Impact. I was thinking this would be a great wikiHow article so that people can pronounce the Chinese names, including Líyuè, Zhōnglí, etc. I looked up the tones on Google, I do not really know Chinese xD
Pinging @WikiaWang
and @HappyWiki
and @Emily_Pole
as they all have high level proficiency in Chinese I believe and @Feliciano_Vargas
as a fellow Traveler also exploring Teyvat.
To give more context: Teyvat in Genshin Impact has multiple nations, including Mondstadt (based off Germany), Liyue (based off China), Inazuma (based off Japan), Fontaine (based off France), Natlan (early America), Snezhnaya (based off Russia), and Sumeru (unknown). I want to get started on a pronunciation guide for Liyue, but the only languages I can say I know well are programming languages
. So I need help from those who have a high level of proficiency in Chinese. I and others can do research, but I need the information I gather to be verified.
I do know there are four tones in Chinese
(thanks @HappyWiki
for sharing your advice!), but that is basically all I know. I would like to get feedback as I write my article so I can, well, have accurate advice.

I’m fluent in Chinese and can read and write it. However I do have a problem with pinyin.
I’m also fluent in Chinese.

Apologies that this has not been created yet, this is more of an idea or something like that. I have been writing… um… more important Genshin Impact articles like defeating enemies and completing challenges.
