Hi, I set my wikiHow settings so that when creating a new article, I would use the Guided Editor. I am currently trying to add a video to an article I’m writing – “Create a Shortcut to the Desktop in Windows Xp”. When I click the “Change or add video” button, I get a frame that pops up with the message “Error: target article does not exist.” Edit: Before anyone points it out, I am aware that my article is a duplicate
Nonetheless, the bug still exists.
It always says that. You have to create the article before you can add video to it.
So it’s done that way on purpose? May I ask why?
We had a problem a while back(that I reported). It used to be it was addable when adding the steps and all, but when it caused a big mess of issues, they had to remove the ability to add it when starting a new article. Everything works, after you publish the first edit to the article(publish first without video, then click back in and edit again, and see how it works now when trying to add video).
If this happens again, publish the majority of the article (minus the video) and try to add using the steps in http://www.wikihow.com/Embed-a-Video-on-wikiHow
.
