The Disability Issues category is getting really big! I could see a Mobility Disabilities category to cover paraplegia, amputees, and other people who have challenges moving around. Then a Learning Disabilities category could handle all the learning disability-related articles, and perhaps house disability categories such as Dyslexia. Each category could gain subcategories as more articles are created, and potentially the Wheelchairs category could be a subcategory of Mobility Disabilities. (What do you all think?) I have a few ideas, but I’m not sure, and I’d love the opinions of other disabled people and people who study disabilities. * I’m pretty sure dyslexia is a learning disability. * All people with Down Syndrome have some degree of learning disability. Moderate to severe learning disability is common. * ADHD/ADD is maybe? I don’t have either one, nor have I researched them much, so your feedback would be great.

Dyslexia is a learning disability. ADHD/ADD is a psychiatric disorder, not a learning disability. Children with ADHD/ADD often have learning disabilities as well, and ADHD can certainly cause academic troubles, but it is not considered a learning disability.

http://www.wikihow.com/Interact-with-Someone-with-an-Intellectual-Disability and http://www.wikihow.com/Interact-With-Someone-With-an-Intellectual-Disability should be merged. Down Syndrome is a genetic disorder, not learning disability. Just because it has traits doesn’t classify it as them:wink:
