This has happened to me twice now, I get a notification saying that somebody sent me a message on my talk page, but when I go to my talk page, there’s no new message!

– Any edit to your talkpage will trigger a notification. Recently, a template was tweaked with this edit

As long as someone edits your talk page, whether they left you a message or not, it will send you a notification that someone left a message, when they only edited it.

I edited your page to fix the template. The reason for this was because it was appearing in broken file links. It was just a little error which I managed to fix.
